Day by Day Itinerary:

Day 1

Fly from home to Beijing

Day 2/Beijing

On arrival you will be met by your guide and taken to your hotel, with the rest of the morning to relax. In the afternoon start exploring the Forbidden City and Tiananmen Square

Day 3/Beijing

The Temple of Heaven is one of Beijing's most impressive sites. If you can rise a little early you'll also be able to see Beijing's pensioners doing Tai-Chi here. Take in the Summer Palace in the afternoon

Day 4/Beijing

You`ll leave the city today to see one of China's iconic sites - The Great Wall. You'll be taken a few hours out of the city in order to escape the crowds and see the wall at its best

Day 5/Beijing - Xi'an/by fast train or airplane

Take the fast train to go to Xian, once capital of China and the starting point of the ancient Silk Road. It is also possible to fly between the two cities

Day 6/Xian

This morning go out for the Eighth Wonder of the World - the Terracotta Warriors. You can never be prepared for such a big scale army in battle formation from 2,200 years ago. This afternoon you will get on the Ancient City Wall - a romantic landmark of the city, to appreciate the beauty of the old town

Day 7/Xian - Yangtze Cruise/by airplane/on-board ship​

In the morning visit one of the most famous Buddhist Temple in northern China- The Big Wild Goose Pagoda, before transferring to the airport for a flight onto Chongqing. There join your Yangtze cruise boat, setting sail early evening

Day 8/Yangtze Cruise/on-board ship

Your first day of the cruise includes on-shore excursions to see the villages and small towns nestled on the banks of this formidable river

 

Day 9/Yangtze Cruise/on-board ship

Today sees you crusing through the famed and beautiful scenery of the Three Gorges and then the Lesser Gorges. The day ends at the tremndous feat of engineering that is the Dam

Day 10/Yangtze Cruise - Shanghai/by airplane

Morning arrival into Yichang, where you will be met and transferred to the airport for your flight to the cosmopolitan city of Shanghai. On arrival you will be greeted and transferred to your hotel

Day 11/Shanghai

Visit the Yu Garden, Shanghai Museum, Bazzar and the Bund

Day 12/Shanghai

A free day to explore this amazing city by your own, find out your Shanghai

Day 13/Shanghai - home

Today you'll be taken to the airport in time for your return flight home
