Getting inside Xi’an and environs, as well as China’s traditions and cultures, is a breeze with Alex. As a tour guide he is informative, well informed on practical and quite academic matters, and talkative, all of which is complemented by a global outlook. Needless to say, his English is terrific (essential for ‘foreigners like me and my wife). Above all, one feels relaxed with him immediately so that the wonders of China are the focus rather than getting on with the guide. I wouldn’t go with anyone else in that part of China.

Greetings from the sunshine state! I hope this finds you all doing well and adjusting back to reality. What an amazing adventure we had! I finally got all of my pictures last night. We did a lot!! I've also been watching the travel channel some and am anxiously awaiting the opening ceremonies of the Olympics tonight! I'm having friends over to watch and celebrate the opening ceremony and look at my pictures. I've promised them this is the last time I"ll make them listen to me talk about China :-).

Our trip to China was PHENOMENAL! Many thanks to you for your role in making it such a success. I have downloaded about 10,000 photos but have not had time to process them. Since I leave for London tomorrow for two weeks of work, it may be a while before I get to them!
I look forward to seeing you again, either here in the States when you visit us or on my next trip to China (and there WILL be another one!).
